An older woman in her late years routinely tells stories to herself in an effort to hold on to the order of her life and her fading memories. While her stories revolve around the fundamental experiences of life such as birth, death, family relationships etc., her telling evokes the qualities of Korean mythology. The stories put together from fragments of her memories often are surreal and reveal the broken state of fading memories. The film tries to capture the sense of origin and motherhood which she embodies, and it underlines the function of memory to provide structure and orientation in our lives.
